 WANTED12 inch afghan squares for homeless elders Hearth, Inc., whose mission is to end elder homelessness, will be opening a new residence for 59 homeless and at risk seniors in April. The residents at Hearth's six current sites have begun a campaign to knit and solicit hand knit or crocheted afghans for each new resident. Since the goal is afghans which are 45" x 75", I am not asking anyone to take on such a daunting task. Instead, I am hoping some of you will volunteer to knit or crochet just one square. I will put them together. Color, pattern, weight, texture, and yarn are completely up to you. The only request is that the yarn be machine washable and dry-able.
