Weaving has become another of our popular workshops. Learn to warp a rigid heddle loom, and weave a scarf. You'll do everything, beginning to end. FYI...space is VERY limited.
| Magic Loop Socks

Tired of DPN's? Try out socks on a 40" circular needle (aka the Magic Loop). You will make a baby sock in this class and get through all components of a sock. The Magic Loop method can be applied to any other small circumference item as well. You will LOVE this method!

If texture is your thing, crochet is your friend. Start out with the basics, practice on a Spa cloth, and add another needlework skill to your resume.

| Continental Knit / Norwegian Purl

Keep your yarn in your left hand, in back of your needles and GO! Yes, you can knit faster - but more importantly learning to knit continental and purl Norwegian will help with all patterns from simple seed stitch to advanced colorwork.

| Entrelac

Entrelac is a knitting technique used to create a textured diamond pattern. Use a self-striping yarn and create a beautiful scarf that will surely get noticed!

Turn your sock knitting upside down. Start from the toe and work your way up to the cuff. Learn a different increase method, and short row techniques for the heel. Excellent for utilizing ALL of your yarn.

| Buttonholes & Edgings

There is more than one way to create a buttonhole. Learn to adjust your buttonhole size to suit your style. Also, play with a few edgings to add polish to your piece! Pre-req: K, P | Dyeing for fun!

Knitting a project out of your own hand-dyed yarn is so gratifying. We will focus and work on two methods of dyeing, but will discuss multiple other techniques. Create the PERFECT color you've always wanted.

Fair Isle Stocking

Just what is blocking? Learn the how, what, when, where, & why of this VERY IMPORTANT final step of knitting.

You don't always have to knit in the round. At some point you WILL have to learn how to work fair isle from the 'wrong side'. Don't fret! Two color work can be done, learn how to wrap your floats and create more than just hats & stockings.

| Reading Patterns & Getting Gauge

Reading a pattern or yarn labels leave you crossing you eyes? Let us help guide you through and demystify the words & symbols. Also, learn why gauge is so important, how to get it, and what to do when you don't!

| Finishing

Finishing can make or break a piece. Knit the pieces to a small baby sweater and put them together in a 'best practice' way. Different stitch patterns require different seams, and this class will make it all come together for you.

| Mitered Squares

Also referred to as domino knitting, this method can be fun to do (like a puzzle) and assist in some serious stash busting! If you like a little challenge and creativity this class is for you!

| Beginning Knitting

No time like the present to start! This is the perfect introductory class. Learn to cast on, knit, & purl. Once you can knit & purl you can do ANYTHING!

| Registration for workshops is not complete until all fees are paid. We recommend using the SIGN UP! buttons listed under each workshop description and paying for class fees immediately to guarantee your slot. If participants wish to reserve space over the phone, we can hold a slot for 3 days and accept credit card payments for class registration over the phone or you may stop into the shop to pay. Receipts for transactions over the phone can be picked up during the next store visit or mailed upon request.
Cancellations made 1 week before the beginning of a class will receive a full refund of class fees. Refund will be based on standard refund policy. No refund will be issued for sessions not attended. Additionally, we have extensive waiting lists for many of our classes and workshops. If you are not able to attend please make every effort to let us know, so that we may offer your seat to another student.
Please keep in mind that class fees pay instructors, and help us to continue to provide fun, interesting, & educational classes and workshops.
